Overlooking the whitewater rapids of the river Leven, the 3* Whitewater Hotel is excellently located for access to both Coniston and Windermere. At the end of the day you will have no choice but to relax with full leisure and Spa facilities available and your own river view room.

The Inn on the Lake,
Glenridding (3 nights)
This classic looking building is a high quality 3* hotel on the shore of Ullswater. There is a magnificent view from every window, with the dining room looking directly onto the lake itself. With spa, sauna and solarium, it is an ideal holiday venue.

Part 1: (Sat - Wed)
Saturday
Arrive at the Whitewater Hotel.

Sunday
Morning walk over Bethecar to Coniston Water, where we will meet our canoes to journey north, finding lunch on the way on 'Wild Cat Island'.

Monday
After exploring Tarn Hows, enjoy the thrill of a Downhill cycle ride through Grizedale forest back to your hotel.

Tuesday
Option 1: Take the challenge of paddling up England’s largest lake, but don’t worry the wind will take the strain
Option 2: Enjoy the pleasures of Sail and Dine on board a 30' yacht.

Wednesday
A mountain day on the old roman road to Ullswater - High Street.

Part 2: (Arrive Wed - Sat)
Thursday
Sit back and enjoy the view - canoe sailing on Ullswater.

Friday
Completing the week, England's 2nd highest mountain - Helvellyn via Striding Edge, with views that will take your breath away.

Saturday
Depart from the Inn on the Lake.
