Team activities in the Lake District with River Deep Mountain High are based on the idea that outdoor activities in our beautiful landscape offer a great team development experience with many tangible benefits for you and your team. And if you simply want to enjoy a great team activity our prices will keep it achievable in your budget, with a simple 2 hour activity starting from as little as £250 per team.

There are plenty of ways River Deep Mountain High could make your event, meeting, conference or away day into a fun, memorable experience. We’ve tried to explain some of them here but feel free to just give us a ring and discuss your requirements - we’re a small team who love sharing our knowledge and enjoyment of the outdoors.

Corporate Events

Below you will find some examples of the type of activities we offer which can run from hotel grounds or specific locations around the South Lakes. We can tailor our activities to suit all group sizes, abilities and time-frames as well as any specific aims and objectives.

Team Adventure Exercises

Holiday Resort
This uses Archery and a Navigation Exercise plus planning, creativity and some 'Apprentice' style bartering and selling to try and win the approval of an investor looking to back a new holiday resort - which team will be able to put together the best combination of landscape, facilities and fun? This works best in teams of 3 or 4 though there is interaction between teams throughout. This can be a 1/2 day exercise or involve Canoeing and be a full day exercise.

Hunt for the 'Treasure Island' treasure
It is rumoured that Jim Hawkins retired and passed away in the Lake District. When he died he left a treasure map and list of challenges that when solved would unlock the location of his remaining treasure. The first team to un-weave the web gets the booty. This 1/2 day event involves walking, archery, canoeing and problem solving and is based on teams of 4 to 6.

Bomb Disposal or Safe Crack.
Using a combination of canoeing, navigational exercises and code-breaking, teams work together to find and follow clues that will lead them to the final solution.

Adventure Race
Just as fun as it sounds! Teams compete for the best times in a selection of activities including Biking and Canoeing. Depending on group numbers teams can race side by side or compete in a round-robin with winners announced at the end of the day.

Canoe-Sailing on England’s Longest Lake
Paddling the length of Windermere is an exciting and challenging day that requires motivation but provides a great journey and huge sense of achievement. Canoe-sailing can be structured as a problem solving session where the group raft the canoes and hoist the sail themselves under fully supervised conditions.

Rock-Climbing and Canoeing
Starting with a morning climbing session to get teams communicating and focussing on working together the day will then progress on to paddling on either Coniston Water or Windermere. Again, the teams can be given all the information required to raft their own canoes as a problem solving exercise or they can simply get in, sit back and relax.

Break-out Activities

These can be combined depending on time frame and could also be based from a hotel. Canoeing, Trail Biking, Raft Building, fun ‘Ice-breakers’. We also have Giant Canoes which can hold up to 10 people at once. Great for races!

Prices

Full Day Team Events from £80 per person
Half Day Team Events, from £50 per person
Prices include VAT, a complimentary hot drink during each session and use of all technical equipment, except bikes.
