Outdoor Instructor Training Course Feedback
Below is the positive feedback that we have received after each of the courses that we have run for the past 2 years during the winter seasons.

"Some great memories, friends and experiences, with the satisfaction of knowing I’ve chosen the right career. Even if it is pretty chilly here in winter." Amy Drury
"I have reawakened my love of paddlesport, having put this part of my life to one side about 10 years ago." Malcolm Selby
"But the biggest benefit has been to meet a great group of like minded individuals and establish hopefully long lasting links and friendships with these people. Oh and be able to justify buying lots of shiny new gear..." Malcolm Selby
"Seeing the development of everyone’s skills, from base beginner in many cases through to a group of guys who can and will do almost anything and smile whilst doing it, no matter what the weather." Malcolm Selby

Former Outdoor Instructor Training Course Trainees
2010/2011 Outdoor Instructor Training Course Trainees
Last year, we welcomed 8 people to the River Deep Mountain High Outdoor Instructor Training Course. Malcolm, Amy, Mike, Stuart, Ross, Amanda, Stewart and David have just started to begin their career working in the outdoors. Stuart is working in Scotland as a trainee instructor, working towards becoming a Lead Instructor and looking forward to gaining more qualifications. Malcolm has really concentrated on gaining more qualification since the course to become more employable. Mike started work as an instructor at Centre Parcs, and David started work as a trainee instructor for another local company. Amy has gained some group experience, working with the River Deep Mountain High team this Summer too.
2009/2010 Outdoor Instructor Training Course Trainees
River Deep Mountain High successfully ran an Outdoor Instructor Training Course that gave 5 people an opportunity to have lots of fun whilst gaining a range of National Governing Body Outdoor Qualifications.
Our first Outdoor Instructor Training Course ended at the beginning of February 2010, which meant saying goodbye to a group of students that Mike and Johan watched grow. Our course really allowed the group to develop and learn so much about themselves and other people, and we are really proud of what they achieved.
Since the course, Peter and Alex are successfully employed in trainee instructor positions, Hugo has been working in the Merchant Navy whilst gaining qualifications in this, and Kristof is back in Vietnam paddling on their more traditional style canoes, and in the process of setting up an outdoor company for the local people of Vietnam. Matt has enjoyed instructing as part of the River Deep Mountain High team for the past 2 summer holidays, in between gaining a Geography degree at Liverpool John Moores University in term time.
