Directions to Elterwater

From the South

Arriving from the South, leave the M6 at Junction 36. Take the A590 (this is the same junction that the A65 comes out at) and follow the A590 (Kendal). Stay on this road, which becomes the A591 and follow it past Windermere and alongside the lake to Ambleside. From Ambleside take the A593 towards Langdale and Coniston. Turn right at Skelwith Bridge towards Langdale along the B5343. Go along this road and continue past the 1st left turn signposted Elterwater, taking the next road on the left. The Wheelwrights cottages office is on the right amongst the first group of buildings.
