River Deep Mountain High Activities provides a range of outdoor and adventure sports in the Lake District. We specialise in fun for families, group adventures and team away days.
 This has been our motto since we started offering Lake District activities 9 years ago. Since then we have improved many aspects of our service and facilities but we have always maintained offering excellent adventures (insert guitar solo here!) in the Lake District with a friendly knowledgeable voice taking care of you in the office. Why do outdoor activities with River Deep Mountain High?
We specialise in making all our outdoor adventure experiences the best combination of route, content and equipment. For example, we do our gorge walks in the best rivers we can find and give a variety of options, we make our gorge walks maximum fun and challenge by being directly in the water from the start and including jumps and slides, and we provide wetsuits as standard so that you’re getting stuck in rather than thinking about the cold.
You can stay and play at the Waterhead Hotel in Coniston. We have a great facility at the hotel with lake-based activities, archery and team building available by walking out the door! We have a changing room, fabulous grounds and all the hotel facilities right on the lake - an amazing combination. Read more here.

Outdoor activities and sports are the best way to get out and experience an adventure in the Lake District. Whether your level of adventure is stepping off dry land or stepping off a 20ft pool jump, we have a wide range of activities that we provide in the south of the Lake District between Eskdale, Coniston, Ambleside and Windermere. So whether it is as part of your holiday, weekend away or group event, we are sure our outdoor activities will be a highlight of your trip.
Location:
We are so easy to get to - just 20 mins from M6 jn 36 along the easy A590. We are within easy reach of Manchester, Blackpool and Lancaster and within 2 hours of Newcastle, Leeds and Glasgow, even London is only 3 hours on the train!
Outdoor activities for your team event/corporate fun day
We can provide either one straight forward activity session, a combination of activities for a larger group or put together a special event with specific aims. We understand that maybe not everybody in your team is an outdoor activity enthusiast and have lots of ideas for a fun day whatever your outdoor adventure requirements.
